Your ski advantages at the Ellmaubauer Farm
The Fageralm valley lift station is just 2 minutes drive away (approx. 1.3 km). In good snow conditions you can ski along the "Himmelreichweg" from the slope right back to the Ellmaubauer. You don't have to take your wet ski equipment up to your apartment - it can be stored in our ski cellar with ski boot dryer on the farm.
Cross country skiing & winter walking in the region
- A total of 180 km long network of cross country trails in the resorts of the Salzburger Sportwelt: groomed in classic & skating style
- A variety of trails for beginners and keen sports persons
- Cross country skiing "high up": High Alpine Trail on the Rossbrand (at an altitude of 1,600 m) with panoramic views
- Popular Tauern trail (total of 50 km long) – access in the neighbouring resort of Radstadt
- Over 20 km of cleared winter footpaths in Forstau, e.g. on the floodlit winter trail "stream path" or on the Fageralm (ascent by lift)
- Guided lantern hike organised by the Tourist Office
Tobogganing, backcountry skiing & horse-drawn sleigh rides
- Toboggan run Hochwurzen in Schladming 7 km long, ascent of the Hochwurzen cable car, night tobogganing also possible – approx. 6 km away
- Toboggan run Königslehen in Radstadt: longest, floodlit toboggan run in the Salzburger Sportwelt - 6 km long, ascent on the Königslehen cable car, Tuesdays & Fridays: night toboggan run – approx. 20 km away
